Hello, I’m Jed Darby and I have over 30 years of racing experience in running, cycling and triathlons. I have trained under Rick Crawford in 2009 and I’m an Affiliate Coach for Joe Friel. I have run the Boston Marathon, Qualified for Kona, won the Louisiana-Mississippi Road Race Championship Cat 3 at 50 years of age and have won the original Cajun Man Triathlon 6 times, named after myself…yes I’m the original Cajun Man!

My passion is helping people reach their goals and dreams. I have studied hard and learned what it takes to get stronger and faster. I have been accepted to coach under Joe Friel and was excited when Joe let me know I was one of very few to score a 100 perfect score on his testing.

I use both power and heart rate based training for my athletes and follow Joe’s training principles and methodologies.

Triathletes 

It is one thing to go through the motions of a race and another to master. Swimming, cycling, running, and transitioning all have their own unique types of training. I can assist you with training for the full race package. 

Road Racers 

Road racers have three types of races they need to train for. Criteriums, road races, and time trials. Power is needed in order to stay with the peloton during road races and criteriums. Endurance is needed to win time trials. A specific type of training is required to master all three. 

Duathletes

For a person to go from running to cycling then back to running again will cause stress on the body. I have a package that will fully prepare you for race day. This package covers peak cycling, running performance, and efficient physical transition. 

Runners

Running has become very popular in recent years. With proper training and technique we can improve running stride and endurance while staying free of injury. If you are a beginner or a long distance runner I will create a custom plan to meet your needs.
